Following a course hosted by Tintswalo Hospital in 2014, we have been conducting annual outreach visits to the area. Situated near Acornhoek in rural Mpumalanga, Tintswalo boasts a large multidisciplinary team who have facilitated an active Carer-2-Carer Training Programme resulting in a committed group of parents and caregivers; regular home visits to children affected by CP; and a day care centre for children with disabilities recently started by one of the parent facilitators.
